Discovery

As an independent consultant, I focus on the discovery phase, working closely with sole proprietors to fully understand their core passion and purpose. This foundational insight is essential for building an authentic online representation of their business.

For this project, the discovery phase identified four critical goals for the proprietor: service visibility, instant conversion (scheduling), mobile responsiveness, and SEO optimization.

UX Strategy & Implementation

Following the redesign of the intranet and upgrade to the latest Drupal CMS, I led global training sessions to introduce staff to new features and UX enhancements. I collaborated with over 70 teams to design and optimize their mission pages, ensuring a seamless user experience and successful migration of thousands of pages within a six-month timeline.

UX Design for Multiple Devices

This personal project involved redesigning an employee Learning and Development (L&D) portal using Adobe XD.

Starting with agency requirements, I conducted extra UX research to confirm what employees and the system needed. This research guided the design of a multi-device interface.

The new portal helps employees find and take courses, and it allows supervisors to approve training and track progress. My main deliverables included the Design System, User Flow, and detailed low- and high-fidelity wireframes.

UX Design for Media Player

This project was an Adobe XD design challenge focused on creating an advanced media player interface for digital stories.

The goal was to make it easy for users to search for stories, build playlists, and find recommended or newly added content.

My role covered the full design process – designing the design system and user flow for consistency and clear navigation; creating low- and high-fidelity wireframes and final interactive prototype that demonstrated the player’s enhanced features and intuitive design.

Learning Module Prototype

This project was a strategic effort to improve the Peace Corps application process by building a public, on-demand online learning tool.

My role drove both the UX strategy and the content development. We started with extensive research, interviews, and data analysis to understand user needs. This informed the design of the information flow and the initial wireframes for the Learning Management System (LMS).

To execute the prototype, I designed custom branding, mocked up a web interface, and built multimedia content. This included editing volunteer videos, recording audio narratives, and designing motion graphics. I also integrated all the content using a learning management system. The project concluded with presentations of the prototype and findings to agency leadership and offices worldwide.
